Global Crossing Review: The IT Guy

03/06/09

Pros:

Global RIP off is more like - they wined and dined my boss to sign a 30k a month deal. - pages and pages of colorful charts that supposdly showed how much we would save - well i guess they did look pretty - but that was the only good deal we got

Cons:

In the end it was a complete sham - although we had 2x the bandwidth their beyond POOR network design caused utilization to quadruple

Other Thoughts:

And when i said what happened to their promise of savings??? they said that the poor performance was AT&Ts fault (impossible, im a network admin, and this is a total lie!) and they could do nothing for us - what a waste of 10 million over 3 years.

Our CEO should lose his job for being so easily swindled in a time where our company needs cost cutting - not wasteful spending on bandwitch that costs twise as much and gives us 40% more network overhead!!!!
